Going into last night's Tanner Guitar Pull, I knew we were going to have great performances by some really good up-and-coming country stars.

I knew Lauren Alaina was going to blow people away with her vocal talent.

I knew that Travis Denning was going to charm.

I knew John King was gonna bust his rear to win the crowd over.

I knew people would hear a song or two written by Ryan Hurd for other people and go "Oh, yeah...I know that song.  I didn't know he wrote that."

And I knew for sure we were seeing the last moments of Kane Brown on the Coyote Joe's stage.  Just a couple of nights ago he sold out the Staples Center in Los Angeles.  He's headlining a major tour this summer and the days of him playing 3500 person capacity venues are over.

It's always cool to be at Joe's for those moments.  I've been there for Luke Bryan, Jake Owen, Eric Church, Lee Brice and others.

In a way it's reminiscent of being a relative watching a high school or college graduation.

Anyway, if there was one moment I was going to storm the stage if I didn't see it, Kane Brown HAD to perform his latest single, "Homesick."  Rarely does a song speak to me like that one does.  I've played it on the radio hundreds of times at this point, and I look forward to every one.  I got my wish.

It was a "moment," and I was not disappointed.
