This is truly a stunning story on a couple of levels to me.

Sandy Doucette was driving near his home on a snowy winter road in Canada.  He saw a group of birds that were on the road and flew away as he drove near them-nothing odd there.

Oh wait, one of them is NOT flying away.  That is odd.

So Doucette gets out of his car to investigate and what he discovers is the bird is alive and well, except its feet are frozen in an inch or so of ice.

As you can see, he is able to use his bare hands to free the bird.

How cool is this?

  1.  I would have NEVER been that observant in the first place
  2.  I'm amazed the bird was fine
