My Equine vet once told me that horses are "eggs on legs", meaning the term healthy as horse doesn't really ring true. Horses can get into all kinds of things that jeopardize their health. That's one of the things that made Corolla wild horse Amadeo so special. He was extraordinary.
Amadeo was king of the wild horses on the outer banks. He rode proud and strong for a very long time and the other horses looked up to him. He was blind , 40 years old and seemed to be having trouble walking . Amadeo they say died on his own terms.
