In 2010, a documentary film was made by Nev Schulman (pictured above) showing how he was duped into a relationship online with a person who did not exist...or at least did not exist as thought.
It's title has now been accepted into lexicon for these sorts of things: "Catfish."
The doc has spawned a successful spinoff TV show on MTV-hosted by Nev.
In the wake of the "safe practices" for living in the Coronavirus crisis, this tweet from Nev, truly made me laugh out loud this morning, and I think we can agree we can't get enough of that
