At Country 1037 we love to bring you new music first and introduce you to our favorite new artists. So I want to take the chance to introduce you to one of mine. You may remember our celebrity golf tournament that we did at The Palisades Country Club for several years. One of the artists participating in 2018 was Carly Pearce. Carly brought a girl named Hannah Ellis out on the road with her to write for a couple of days. I got to talking to Hannah throughout the day about our mutual love of wine and songwriting. I’m a sucker for good lyrics and always looking for new music, and after talking to her about writers and songs I loved she recommended a couple of her songs for me to listen to. I instantly fell in love her music and followed her on Instagram.
The above photo was taken at the golf tournament- Russell Dickerson, who Hannah actually has written with- they co-wrote “Would You Love Me” on Russell’s album- was also one of the artists.
Fast forward a few months and she was out on the CMT Next Women of Country Tour with Cassadee Pope that stopped at the Underground in the spring of 2019. It was great to finally see her perform and catch up with her again. I knew then there was something special about her and couldn’t wait for the rest of the world to get a chance to “meet” her.
Well this week Hannah announced she signed a record deal with Curb Records. This is just the first step in her journey and I can’t wait to hear the new music she will make and her debut single in the coming months.
Keep an eye out in the next few months but I suspect we will be hearing big things from Hannah. Until then here are some of my favorite songs she’s released so far.
