I can speak from experience on this one and have on this blog in the last couple of weeks. One of the casualties of the Coronavirus Pandemic is the joy of being a senior, a member of the class of 2020 for the last couple of months of your high school career. There will be no "final games." There will be no proms. There will be no "Senior Skip Days." There might not be any graduation.

As such, Country 1037 is determined to do whatever we can to make these kids feel as special as they are and deserve with our "Senior Shoutouts." Selfishly, we begin with our son, Hogan Nance. He is a member of Parkwood High School's Class of 2020.

While at Parkwood, Hogan excelled as a member of the golf team. He was named 3-time Player of the Year at the school and was also a 2-time all-conference selection. Sadly, this season ended abruptly after only 2 matches and therefore his chance to add to these accolades will not occur.

In his spare time, he volunteered for several years with the First Tee Program of Charlotte, mentoring young kids in the game of golf and passing on his love and passion for it.

This fall, Hogan will become a "Chanticleer," attending Coastal Carolina University and has already been accepted into their prestigious PGM Program (a business/marketing school specializing in the golf world).  He has been awarded the highest scholarship amount given to out-of-state students and also hopes to be able to walk-on, and become a member of Coastal Carolina's Golf Team.

So, SHOUTOUT TO HOGAN NANCE, CLASS OF 2020!

And if you'd like to submit your senior for a shout out, please contact me, Charlie, at charlie.nance@bbgi.com or submit online with the form below.
