In the world of high school achievement, there is one that stands above the rest:  Valedictorian.  This is the title given to the person who through their tireless work and dedication to education has the highest GPA and class rank.

There is only one.

It is a big deal.

If you've ever attended a graduation, you know the Valedictorian makes a speech (pictured above).  It's always one of inspiration and triumph. Similar to here (and everywhere) schools in Traverse City, Michigan are closed because of the coronavirus pandemic.  Well, this didn't stop Grand Traverse Academy's secondary principal Michelle Floering. She recorded this video as she delivered the news of this honor to its recipient, Kaitlyn Watson, as she was working the drive-thru at a local Culver's.

God bless all the teachers and administrators who love our kids.  One thing this crisis has shown us all is how much this is true and how teaching is a true calling.
