In 1964, James Bond was already a worldwide box office phenomenon when the film series' third entry, "Goldfinger" debuted.
In it, perhaps the most infamous and titilating introduction in film history.
I'll never forget my head spinning around when I heard her say her name to see if my mom was going to rush to the TV to turn it off. <g>
The actress behind the character of Ms. Galore is Honor Blackman, has passed away peacefully at her home in Lewes, Sussex, England surrounded by her loved ones. She died of natural causes-completely unrelated to the Coronavirus Pandemic.
In addition to her memorable outing as a "Bond" girl, Blackman also starred on the British TV espionage show, "The Avengers," as "Cathy Gale" in the mid 1960s.
However, she did venture outside the spy game in her career as her acting credits date back to the 1940s and number more than 115 appearances.
Rest in peace Ms. Blackman and know that every boy fondly remembers the look on his mother's face the first time she hear him say your character's name from "Goldfinger."
Honor Blackman was 94.
