Senior Shoutouts-Sam Robinson

Sam Robinson is the kind of kid that when you meet him you leave going, “I’m either gonna end up working for this guy, voting for this guy, or both!”…

Sam Robinson is the kind of kid that when you meet him you leave going, "I'm either gonna end up working for this guy, voting for this guy, or both!"

Sam is set to graduate with honors from Parkwood High School with a 4.3 GPA on a 5.0 scale.  He has been a member of the Student Council and Beta Club for all 4 years-serving as President of the latter for the last 2 and is the current Student Council Student Body President.

Additionally, Sam is a member of The National Honor Society, played Varsity Basketball, and was a 4-year letterman on the Rebels Golf Team.

Sam also spent 4 years as a member of the Parkwood High Concert Band, and his musical loves and tastes led him to this memorable moment with Randy Travis last year in Marshville.

Sam plans on attending The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill this fall with a planned double major in Political Science and Economics or Political Science and History.

Sam, we join your family in celebrating your hard work and achievement at Parkwood, and look so forward to seeing the mark you leave on the world going forward.

The couple have been with the radio station since 2006. Charlie has won the prestigious CMA (Country Music Association) Award for Radio Personality of the Year and has been a finalist for the Country Radio Hall of Fame four times. Prior to his time in Charlotte, Charlie (along with Debbie) spent more than a decade hosting successful morning radio shows in Greenville, SC; Augusta, Ga; and Birmingham, Al. As a content creator for Country 1037, Charlie writes about dream lottery windfalls, sports, restaurants and bars, and travel experiences in North and South Carolina.
