Our family loves all types of Asian foods, including any variety of fried rice.  However, many times our favorite foods are loaded with sodium.  Here's a simple way to make your own fried rice at home without adding all the salt.  Just grab some Dash Onion and Herb Seasoning Blend to add tons of flavor.  You'll never miss all the salt!

Ingredients:

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

3/4 cup mixed chopped veggies (I used a mix of carrots, peas, corn and celery)

1/4 cup diced water chestnuts

3 Tablespoons unsalted butter

2 cups long grain rice

5 tsp. Onion and Herb Seasoning blend

1/2 cup low sodium steak sauce

Directions:

Cook rice according to package directions, omitting salt, reducing water by 1 cup and adding 2 tsp. seasoning blend to water.  Stir steak sauce into hot cooked rice.  Heat butter in skillet.  Add mixed veggies and onion and cook until tender.  Stir in rice, water chestnuts and remaining 3 tsp. seasoning blend.  Cook over medium heat 3-5 minutes, stirring until heated through.
