Successful data on new coronavirus drug

A government study of Gilead’s remdesivir is showing great results. It is perhaps the most closely watched experimental drug to treat the coronavirus. So far in testing, the medicine is proving effective against Covid-19.
Gilead made this announcement Wednesday, “We understand that the trial has met its primary endpoint.” The company said that the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, which is conducting the study, will provide data at an upcoming briefing.
