I heard a group of Senior moms the other day talking about how, even if the current crisis hadn't occurred, The Class of 2020 would be special, because of how many truly special kids there are.

As we go through these entries every day, I can attest that they are absolutely correct.  One place that houses a stunning number of these kids, is York Comprehensive High School, and another of its kids is Dylan Smoak.

Dylan was a four-year-letterman for the Cougar's Varsity Baseball Team.  Like all kids who participated in Spring Sports this year, Dylan had no idea that the last time he was on the field (so early in the season), was going to be the last time.

As disappointing as that is, Dylan worked hard in school and will be able to continue his baseball career at Limestone College.  Dylan, although you high school years didn't end as you planned or wanted, we join with your family in celebrating your accomplishments and in looking forward to your next steps in life.

So, SHOUTOUT TO DYLAN SMOAK, YORK COMPREHENSIVE HIGH SCHOOL, CLASS OF 2020!
