It's no wonder that West Craven High School principal  Tabari Wallace was named NC High school principal of the year.

Wallace organized 14 groups of community leaders; police and fire personnel , teachers and others to parade for every single one of the graduates.  Mr. Wallace was all decked out in the cap and gown he would have worn had the kids been able to have a traditional graduation.

He visited every single student in the yard at their  home to congratulate them on their accomplishment.  He traveled nearly 485 square miles and spent four hours, equipped with a personalized yard sign for each student.  After hearing what their principal was up to (word travels fast), some of the graduates met Wallace in their own cap and gown.

A graduation they will never forget.
