We've always tried to bring music and artists from North Carolina FIRST-before they really hit the big time. For example, we were the first station in the country to play you music from Eric Church, Chris Lane, and Luke Combs.

In the case of Chris and Luke, we played you their music before they were even officially a part of major Nashville record labels. Which leads me to a song that was brought to my attention by an up-and-coming North Carolina Band called, "Jukebox Rehab." The song is called, "Empty Bar."

This isn't just any song though, these guys wrote it for a project called, "The Virtual Village." It's where local musicians have been going to different neighborhoods on the back of a trailer towed by a truck. They play for tips and sell merchandise to raise money for the population of service workers in the Triad that are out of jobs while bars and restaurants are shut down. Anyway, the organizer (Danielle Bull) asked the John Montgomery of the band to write a song especially to bring attention to it and "voila!"

This video was shot in Danielle Bull's empty bar last week and is being used to raise money for the cause as well.
