It's no longer in May.

Yesterday the CEO of Atrium Health Gene Woods projected a later virus peak that's not as bad as originally thought. Woods said the county would hit its peak on July 24. "But it will be significantly less than originally anticipated," according to the CEO.

The area hospital systems should be able to handle the possible surge with plenty of ventilators and ICU beds. You can read more about the story here.
