A 46 year old guy from Darlington was arrested after threatening to bomb the raceway this coming Sunday.
His name is Michael Donavan Avin and reportedly he left threatening messages that the authorities took very seriously. He was arrested and charged with possession and threatened or attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction for an act of terrorism. The case reportedly remains open. And authorities say a motive for the threats is unclear.
The race will go on as planned but without spectators in the stands.
