The Tanner’s Say Goodbye To A Family Member

She was just three years old.

Tanner’s Sugar

She was just three years old.

I alway try to share my live with you. The good and the bad. This was one truly heartbreaking moment for my family and myself.

We had three dogs. Ginger our older Golden Retriever, Sandy our three-year-old Golden Retriever and the little munchkin, Sugar our three-year-old Shih Tzu.

Recently Sugar started acting very ill. It happened overnight. While I was at work, my wife quickly took Sugar to the Vet. He did some blood work and told us to take her to an emergency clinic.

Sugar had an autoimmune disease. Her white blood cells were attacking her red blood cells. Her skin and eyes were already turning yellow, her organs were failing. She was very ill. Letting her go was one of the hardest things my wife and myself have ever had to do.

She was a bundle of energy and joy. It was so unexpected and is still hard to think about. With tears starting to fill my eyes, I say goodbye to our sweet little Sugar. She is so missed, but not in pain any longer. We love you Sugar. I am sure you once again healthy and sitting in Nana's lap right now, and Grandma is feeding you something good!
