A Sisters, Oregon woman who only sought to help amid the coronavirus saw her good deeds turn into good fortune - literally a small fortune.
Lorna Hewitt sewed up some cloth face masks for her co-workers. "They liked them so much, they started giving me some money for them," Hewitt told Station KIRO. She decided to take some of that money and place a Keno 8-spot bet. She won! $126,784.70.
She told lottery officials that she felt a little guilty after winning. On her way home from claiming her cash, Hewitt stopped at a store in Salem to pick up supplies to make even more masks.
Great news.
