Gone With The Wind…Is Now GONE From HBO Max

It’s not that I don’t get the “why,” when these kind of things are done, it’s just that I don’t know if I agree that it is the best way…

It's not that I don't get the "why," when these kind of things are done, it's just that I don't know if I agree that it is the best way to accomplish the goal.

In response to the George Floyd controversy, HBO Max, the new, latest and greatest streaming service, has pulled "Gone With The Wind" from its lineup.

If one is looking to "have a discussion" about systemic racism, I don't know if one should remove a big "topic of conversation."  In this case,  that topic is racism in film.

Would it not be more constructive to come up with a way to show the film and then have a panel discussion immediately afterward, or even during this film's natural intermission?

Again, I get the "why" and don't disagree with it.  I just wonder if there is a better, more constructive way to accomplish the goal.
