I cannot decide if this is a good idea or not.

There is NO QUESTION in my mind that Twitter is the meanest and cruelest of all social media.  I don't know why, but it has become the playground for those who feel embolded to say ANYTHING because they are cloaked in anonymity.

To me, Twitter is the next evolution from message boards.

Anyway, Twitter has a new feature they are testing called, tweeting with your voice.  It will allow you to record up to 140 seconds of audio (2:20 seems like a LONG time).

Now, I get the idea behind it.  Inflection is impossible to convey in a written word or phrase, so perhaps if you can actually SAY your tweet, this won't be an issue.

Now the question is will this just make Twitter meaner, or will the loss of complete anonymity cure some of it?

Voice tweets will look similar to a video on your timeline but instead you will see the person's profile picture surrounded by pulsing circles.

Voice tweets are currently available to a limited amount of iOS Twitter users.
