I cannot tell you how excited we were to get home from our son's graduation from Parkwood High School yesterday and discover this in our inbox.  It is with great pleasure that we turn our Senior Shoutout spotlight on now, Parkwood High School grad,  Ashlan Young.

Ashlan participated in chorus all four years at Parkwood.  Additionally, she has not only had to deal with all the drama, stressors, ect. usually associated with high school, but as a Freshman, Ashlan became a mom.

Kingsley is a beautiful, 3-year-old little girl and a blessing.

Ashlan plans to attend Wingate University in the fall where she will pursue a degree and  career in nursing.

Ashlan, we join with your family is applauding your perseverance and accomplishment, and can't wait to see what the future holds for you and your baby girl.

So, SHOUTOUT TO ASHLAN YOUNG, PARKWOOD HIGH SCHOOL, CLASS OF 2020!

Charlie Nance is the Afternoon Drive co-host (along with his wife) of "The Charlie and Debbie Show" at WSOC, Country 1037 in Charlotte, North Carolina. The couple have been with the radio station since 2006. Charlie has won the prestigious CMA (Country Music Association) Award for Radio Personality of the Year and has been a finalist for the Country Radio Hall of Fame four times. Prior to his time in Charlotte, Charlie (along with Debbie) spent more than a decade hosting successful morning radio shows in Greenville, SC; Augusta, Ga; and Birmingham, Al. As a content creator for Country 1037, Charlie writes about dream lottery windfalls, sports, restaurants and bars, and travel experiences in North and South Carolina.
