People will forget what you said, people with forget what you did but people will never forget how you make them feel.  Sound familiar? That was from Maya Angelou who had life and kindness figured out. Since interviewing Maya back in the day, I’ve always loved this quote.

Showing people love and compassion can have a major impact in their lives. You never know what someone is going through. Especially now, in this world climate, when we’re all trying to adjust to all the changes… when were all wrestling with doubts and fears.

Letting the ones you love know how much they mean to you can make all the difference. It feels good to be loved and supported and there are a million little ways to let others know that you are in their corner. It’s not all about grand gestures and dramatic declarations of love – though those are great too – it’s often small offerings like a moment of your time or a shoulder to cry on.
So the next time you want to show someone special a little appreciation for making your life more meaningful, try lending an attentive ear, sending an encouraging message, spending quality time with them or simply giving them a compliment. We all just want to be loved.
