My (Charlie) best friend and golf buddy have a mutual agreement.  If either of us wins a lottery, we will text the other with two words:  wheels up.

This means we're both done with working and we're heading off to play golf wherever wings can take us.  We talk about it from time to time, it's fun fantasy.  It'll never happen though, right?

In 1992,  friends in Wisconsin, Tom Cook and Joseph Feeney promised if either of them ever won the Powerball jackpot, they would split the money.  It'll never happen though, right?

Well, last month, Cook bought a winning ticket for a $22 million jackpot.  When he called Feeney to give the news, Feeney couldn't believe it, “He called me [with the news] and I said, ‘Are you jerking my bobber?'” (Feeney is a big time fisherman).

Cook has since retired after hitting the jackpot while Feeney was already retired. Neither has any extravagant plans for the winnings but are looking forward to enjoying more family time.

The men chose the cash option of about $16.7 million, leaving each with nearly $5.7 million after taxes are paid.

Wheel's up, boys!
