Why It's So Hard To Find Clorox Wipes?

This is not the news we wanted to hear. Clorox disinfectant wipes have literally been a lifesaver for us.  Throughout this Covid-19 Pandemic, Debbie and I come into the radio station between 1-2 pm and wipe down the studio with them.  Then when we leave at night, we do the same.  In other words, every surface we touch in that studio is as clean and sterile as it can be.

They've been difficult to find, but "we know a guy." Apparently, that may not be enough anymore.

Now comes the announcement that Clorox won’t have enough disinfecting wipes until 2021.  According to Clorox CEO, Benno Dorer, Clorox won't have enough disinfecting wipes until next year.  As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the largest cleaning products maker is in short supply of their popular cleaning and hygiene products.

The reason?  Raw material shortage.  The same ones used to make the wipes are used for PPE equipment (masks, gowns, etc.) and the priority has gone to those.

Back in May, Dorer had said that he believed shelves would be fully stocked with wipes again by this summer. A prediction that was just a bit off.
