The temperatures were in the 40s early Sunday morning, the leaves just starting to give a hint of color and the mountains were calling our name. One of my favorite places to go horseback riding is South Mountains State Park. It is about an hour drive from my house in Clover and about that length of time from Charlotte. If you haven't been there yet, GO! You can hike, bike, fish, camp, ride your horse, take your dog, and enjoy the waterfalls. It's (mostly) all free!
