Gallery: It’s Fall Ya’ll ! Apple Picking, Pumpkins and Hard Hard Cider

So when my daughter invited me apple picking, I thought if I wanted to do yard work I would do it in my own yard:)  I just didn't get it.  Apple picking isn't just the labor of plucking the apples from the trees, it's a whole fall vibe and doing it together as a family.  And Luckily for us, North and South Carolina farmers give us lots of opportunities !

This past weekend my daughter Emily , her friend Savannah and my husband and I went to Windy Hill Orchard and Cider Mill in York, South Carolina.  It was about ten minutes from my house and it was like stepping back in time.  Not only can you pick apples but you can also choose the perfect fall pumpkin, sample apple cider and on the weekends enjoy live music and the music was great!!  And they even make homemade apple doughnuts.

If you are looking for a fun fall activity for you and your family , I HIGHLY recommend looking for a place to pick apples near you.  There are tons of them!  We liked the added benefit of the hard cider afterwards for the grown ups:)  Turns out Tanner and his family went to the same place too!
