Morgan Wallen says he is sorry and that his partying in Alabama was short-sighted. He lost his weekend gig as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live after several TikTok videos surfaced showing him unmasked and partying in crowded bars this past weekend.  Morgan, we love you and we hear you.

SNL is currently operating under strict COVID-19 guidelines. I'm a big believer in heartfelt apologies.  As someone who has made many big mistakes in life I know the power of forgiveness is life-changing.  Morgan is a good guy.  We have met him on several occasions and he is just a small-town guy from Sneedville, Tennessee growing up playing "any kind of ball".  A pitching accident forced him to think about other options than sports so he thought he'd give music a try.  He appeared on "The Voice" in 2014 and the rest is history.  He is a young guy with a lot of success coming his way very quickly.  He is human.  We all are.

Catherine Lane is the morning show co-host and midday host on Country 1037 in Charlotte, North Carolina. She has been with the station for the past 24 years and is a recipient of the Academy of Country Music Major Market Personality of the Year award. Catherine has been on air in both radio and television in the Queen City for 38 years. As a content creator for Country 1037, Catherine writes blogs on local events and restaurants. She also writes about great travel spots and out of the way places in the Carolinas. Anything outdoors, travel, food, animals or the many country artists from the Carolinas.
