We have been told time and time again that for our lives to begin to return to any sort of normalcy, that a vaccine must be in place.  So, when you get news like this, it is a sobering and deflating moment.

Johnson & Johnson has had to hit pause on their vaccine trials due to "unexplained illness."  The good news, if this can be called good news, is that the illness occurred in just one patient (so far).

In a statement, the company said illnesses are "an expected part of any clinical study" and promised "transparent updates".  There was no further information on the patient's condition.

Johnson & Johnson launched its final trial phase several weeks ago.  It's one of several U.S.-backed companies working on a coronavirus vaccine.
