One thing that sets TV comedies apart is the timelessness of the humor. Some shows...well, they just aren't as funny as they were initially. The subjects for the humor are too passé or lack any current relevance. So, when you come across a show that's more than forty years old and still funny, that's what we call a classic.
"The Mary Tyler Moore Show" is in that category. It ruled Saturday nights in the 1970s on CBS and it's opening song and visual montage have become iconic.
Now, in an amazing effort, someone has recreated the show's opening (and placed it side by side with the original) to serve as a "Wear A Mask" PSA.
And it's brilliant.
