It is always a tragedy when someone in service of our country dies.  It's doubly so when it turns out to be one of our own.

The U.S. Navy has confirmed that Ensign Morgan Garrett, says 24-year-old woman from Weddington, was on the U.S. Navy T-6B Texan II trainer aircraft Florida that crashed in an Alabama residential neighborhood near the Gulf Coast, killing both people in the plane. No civilians were injured in the crash.

As per the Navy, Garrett was a student aviator with the U.S. Coast Guard.

Prayers for the family.
