Dolly Parton Reveals Why She Never Had Children

For those of you who have been listening for awhile, you know I'm obsessed with all things Dolly.  I have been since my parents used to watch her on TV when she was first starting out and I grew up on that.  Not only does she have the voice of an angel , no one can deny she is one of the most celebrated songwriters in country music history.

One role Dolly has never had is that of being a mother. And I always wondered why.  She says it was a choice she and her husband of 50 plus years  made long ago.  But she feels she has a world full of children through her imagination library.  And she started the library as a way of honoring her Dad whom she says never went to school or learned to read and write.
