I'll admit I had no idea about "restaurant timers." Not that it really matters, I've never been one to linger. I'm there to eat, drink, maybe chat a bit, and get out.
Anyway, apparently these timers are indeed a thing. And check this out. An employee of Olive Garden, has pulled back the curtain on these by posting a video on TikTok showing how his restaurant tracks how long you've been sitting at your table.
Is this an invasion of your privacy or just a tool of the restaurant's business?
Overriding though...who sits and eats for four hours at an Olive Garden?!
