Giving Tuesday is December 1st, 2020 and it’s time to give back to our community. Now more than ever, we need each other and if you have a little extra to give, please try. There are plenty of local organizations in need of time, food, money, and item donations.
GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past nine years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
Some charities I donate to regularly include:
- Goodwill Industries
- Second Harvest Food Bank
- Make-A-Fish Foundation
- Levine Children’s Hospital
- American Red Cross
- Habitat for Humanity
You can volunteer online this year so grab your friends and family and do some good. There are virtual teachers needed and even office volunteers. You can see more HERE! In addition, this year on December 3rd, 2020, our station will host its ninth annual Secret Santa radiothon with Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital. You can donate early HERE.
Be sure to use #GivingTuesdayCLT when you donate. If you need some extra guidance on where to find a charity, click HERE!
