When you ask most 8 year olds what they want for their birthday you might hear about the latest video game system or a basketball goal but not Kieng Rivens.

Kieng lives right here in Charlotte and when his Momma asked him what he wanted for his birthday he said he wanted to feed the homeless. A pizza restaurant gave Kieng a discount and then helped his distribute the pizzas in Charlotte's "tent city".  He says he wanted to give back this year instead of getting.  What an incredible little boy and an obvious great job of parenting by his mom.

I have two kids and they are wonderful people with sweet hearts but I can assure you when it came to birthdays, it was all about them:)  I always commend the parents when I hear a story about altruist kids like Kieng.  They are obviously being led by example.

There is alot more on this story and you can see all the video right here from Channel 9.
