Local Charlotte businesses are scared to death.  Following a Tweet this weekend from Governor Roy Cooper, they fear stricter regulations in regards to Covid-19 prevention are coming.

Here where my problem comes.  You want to enforce a mask mandate, fine.  You want to restrict the number of hours people can order drinks at a restaurant, fine.

However, that's not what is going to happen.  Even though they say everything they do is governed by science, EVEN THOUGH NO ONE IN POWER CAN POINT TO ANY SCIENTIFIC DATA that says salons, gyms, and outdoor dining have led to even a single outbreak, you can bet the farm those will be the businesses that the hammer falls on.

I don't care what the law, rule, mandate is, there has never been 100% compliance-ever.  Don't believe me?  Did you see everyone obeying the speed limit on your way to work today?

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times.  You cannot regulate stupid into intelligence, so quit trying.  And quit punishing the vast majority as a result.

No matter how hard you try, those that are going to be dumb and irresponsible, are going to be dumb and irresponsible.  The fact that we're now faced with the same issue as in March tells you this.  If it didn't work the first time, what makes you think it's going to work again?

So many small businesses JUST BARELY MADE IT through Cooper's first "two week" (that turned into two months) lockdown.  They are absolutely frightened what might happen now.  And I don't blame them.
