I asked some vegans for suggestions and they suggested hearty veggie soups, casseroles, roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, stuffing, and even vegan versions of pies. I like the idea that vegetarian diets promote weight loss because and focused on nutrient-dense, low-calorie foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, seeds and soy. Vegan diets go even further and cut out calorie-rich foods like cheese. But that would be an issue for me, because I LOVE cheese.
Vegan cheese is healthier than dairy cheese because it's free from growth hormones, carcinogenic animal proteins and cholesterol-boosting saturated animal fat makes vegan cheese that are better for us than its dairy counterparts.
