Worried about what Governor Cooper can impose upon you for the holidays? You might want to devote some more worry time to someone closer to you...your boss! This article is kinda scary.

It turns out employers have a pretty wide berth when it comes to what they can require of you during the holidays during a pandemic. This can include asking you to take a pledge to refrain from any risky behavior (some companies did this before Thanksgiving), and warning you that any conduct against federal or local health official guidelines could have big consequences.

Employers are required to provide a safe working environment and as such, CAN cancel your travel plans or trips if they are deemed to put you (and therefore your co-workers, at risk). And get a load of this...you vacation time IS NOT a federal guarantee, and most employers are within their rights to cancel a vacation and require workers to return to the job to prevent unnecessary travel.

I'm not sure all employers know this stuff. And REALLY not sure I want them to find out.
