Scotty McCreery’s Tear-Jerking New Christmas Song

This was a moment that I both loved and hated.  Let me start with the love part.  I love Christmas, and I love original Christmas songs.  And I love Scotty…

This was a moment that I both loved and hated.  Let me start with the love part.  I love Christmas, and I love original Christmas songs.  And I love Scotty McCreery and think he's got a tremendous future in Country Music.  So when I heard he had a new song for the season, I couldn't wait to hear it.  And it's great.

Now the hate part.  I may put on a façade that implies otherwise, but I am a very emotional person.  And as we near Christmas, I think about all the heartache and pain that people have experienced this year.  So many have have lost loved ones and there's no holiday that makes you remember lost loved ones like Christmas.

I fear this year will be worse than any in recent memory for feeling this pain.  For many, it will be the first time they've experienced it.

I know in our case, this is the first Christmas without Debbie's mom.  And when I heard "Christmas in Heaven," tears began to flow because I realized that (at least in my case), we've been going so hard, and dealing with so much since her death in March, that I don't think we've really begun the mourning process for her loss.

Anyway, enough negative.

Enjoy this song, and enjoy the memory of those you've lost who won't be with you this year, but also know that as long as they're in your heart, they really never left.
