The test of a movie-especially a comedy-is if you still enjoy it every time you see it, no matter how old it is. If there is one movie that passes this test with flying colors, it’s “Coming to America.” Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall’s tour de force from 1988 STILL cracks me up-and I’ve seen it hundreds of times at this point.
So obviously, I’ve been psyched to see the sequel, 30 years in the making. Filming wrapped more than a year ago, and it was scheduled to be a Christmas released this year.
Yeah…this year…2020…nothing has gone right.
It is now scheduled to debut on Amazon Prime this spring, but there has been no trailer, or even official pictures, until today.

March 5 can’t get here soon enough!
