Former Super Bowl Champ Arrested On Murder Charge
“I’m L.A. Mike and I play it cool, they don’t sneak by me because I’m no fool.” Those are the words rapped by Mike Richardson, number 27, of the 1985 Super Bowl Champion, Chicago Bears on their “Super Bowl Shuffle” song (3:20 mark).

Today, Mike Richardson is singing a much more somber tune and adding to a rap sheet, rather than rap lyrics. On Wednesday, he was arrested in Phoenix on a second-degree murder charge in connection with the Tuesday shooting death of 47-year-old Ronald Like.
This arrest is the latest in a long line of legal difficulties Richardson has brought on himself. Previously, he was busted twice in 2020 by Phoenix cops for alleged drug possession and was arrested in Maricopa County in 2018 on charges of theft and possession of meth, crack cocaine and heroin.
Currently, Richardson is being detained-without bond-on charges of murder, possession of a weapon by a prohibited person and possession of a dangerous drug for sale.
He’s set to have his first court appearance for these charges on Jan. 6.
Sad.
