Epic Games, owner of Fortnite, announced it will convert Cary Towne Center mall into its new headquarters by 2024. Yes, the developer bought an entire mall!

Cary Towne Center is in Cary, North Carolina which is right on the outside of Raleigh, North Carolina. Epic Games itself has been based in Cary for almost 20 years and now, and this $95 million dollar purchase will transform an old mall into a 980,000 square foot global corporate campus.

According to a news release by Epic, the facilities will include a mix of office buildings and recreational spaces, giving the company “flexibility to create a campus customized from the ground up to accommodate its long-term growth.”

Epic will keep its current headquarters on Crossroads Blvd in Cary and will serve as the company’s headquarters while the new location is being renovated. You can read all about the purchase here!
