Check Out Jake Owen’s Acting Debut
So I remember reading a year or so ago about Jake Owen making his major motion picture debut in a movie. I was going to blow off the news and most of the time, these debuts are hokey cameos in crappy B movies, but then I read that the movie stars Oscar nominee Casey Affleck, Dakota Johnson, and Jason Segal.
These are big time actors who have long since graduated from the B movie.
Well, the movie is set to debut in select theaters (I love that term. Select use to mean “a precious few” and now it means “actually open” <g>) and on demand January 22.
It’s called “Our Friend” and was filmed in Fairhope, Alabama. It’s based on a true story of a husband who gets the help of his best friend to care for his terminally ill wife.
Our boy Jake plays the friend of that friend in the movie. And watch this clip below. He actually looks like an actor, not just Jake pretending to act.
