The first time I met Kenny Chesney, I (Charlie) was still single, he had hair (mine was still all black), was on a small label (Capricorn Records), and was out on the road working hard pushing his first single, "Tin Man."

IKR?  Yeah, so you could say...Kenny Chesney has been a part of what we do-daily-for more than a quarter century.  Any time we get the chance to talk to him, it's always great.  That being said, we hope the next time can be a little longer.  There's a lot to unbox.  I mean we're talking about arguably the biggest star in country music in the last 20 years.

Anyway, last week we had the chance to speak with Kenny as his latest single, "Happy Does" is on the verge of becoming his latest number one (he's had more than 30).  We were only given 4 minutes by his people (we stretched it to 4.5), which worked out to be just a few questions.

However, there's still a lot of good stuff here including  his thoughts on living through the pandemic, what "Happy Does," means to him now, and what will be the first song on stage when he returns to the road.
