I have to say, this job does have its perks.  I am honestly not a person who gets star struck often but when I met Reba my knees may have buckled just a bit.  I mean, she’s Reba!  And I have Tanner’s wife Missy to thank for that meeting.

We were working in Vegas and she walked in the room.  She was not planning to make the rounds to every goofy radio show but Missy knew I was dying to meet her.  So, Missy boldly walked up to her and said “excuse me, my husband and his team just won an ACM Award and his co host would love to meet you, would you mind stepping over and saying hello”.  And she did:)  She was very cool but cordial and very generous with her time.

 

Way back in 1987, Reba won a Grammy for one of my favorites and I thought you might enjoy it too.

Catherine Lane is the morning show co-host and midday host on Country 1037 in Charlotte, North Carolina. She has been with the station for the past 24 years and is a recipient of the Academy of Country Music Major Market Personality of the Year award. Catherine has been on air in both radio and television in the Queen City for 38 years. As a content creator for Country 1037, Catherine writes blogs on local events and restaurants. She also writes about great travel spots and out of the way places in the Carolinas. Anything outdoors, travel, food, animals or the many country artists from the Carolinas.
