Quite the thrill watching Saturday Night Live over the weekend. Charlotte and Gastonia were name checked in the "Weekend Update " skit. Word has it that someone from Gastonia is a writer for the New York based show and that may explain why they actually pronounced Gastonia correctly.
They call Charlotte, the "Gateway to Gastonia", poke fun at our humidity and other hilarity ensues.
