Of course, the result was completely unacceptable, but on the surface...the assignment seemed like a really interesting activity.

Here's what went down.  At Waxhaw Elementary School, students were to roleplay s citizens during the Civil War era, BUT...were give use of modern technology.  So...social media was in play.

And THAT'S where the trouble began.

A post showed a mock Twitter news feed, which among other messages, included on with the hashtag #SlaveryForLife.

Not good.

What is good is the immediate response from the UCPS School Superintendent.
