Wow.  These are strange times indeed.  On more than one occasion in the last year, I have found myself in complete agreement with Bill Maher (who I could not be in more ideological disagreement with most of the time).  Warning, there are a couple of words that are NSFW

And now, I find myself in lock-step with Sharon Stone?  Again, this is a person who would not be in the same voting line as me.  However, we are firmly arm-in-arm when it comes to "Cancel Culture."

In a recent interview, the "Basic Instinct" star said,  "I think cancel culture is the stupidest thing I have ever seen happen. I think when people say things that they feel and mean, and it’s offensive to you, it’s a brilliant opportunity for everyone to learn and grow and understand each other."

EXACTLY.

And I'll take it a step further.  I was always taught that if you messed up, recognized/acknowledged your mistake, and then sincerely apologized and promised to (and then DID) make amends, then FORGIVENESS was forthcoming.

Apparently not.

Whether it's Morgan Wallen, Sharon Osborne, Chris Harrison, Gina Carrano, etc., we are allowing a very dangerous, small faction of society to change our moral compass and code.

And it's getting scarier and scarier.  And until common sense has the stones to stand against it, then it won't get better, only worse.
