Regé-Jean Page

I'm not crying, you're crying. It was the Netflix show I stumbled upon the day after Christmas day last year and never expected to love it as much as I did.  Sure, I am a sucker for a period piece with costumes and crowns and queens but these things are hit and miss.  And man,  was this a hit and the rest of the world felt the same.

But it was the announcement that came last week that made many people sorry they fell so in love with the series surrounding the fictional Bridgerton family in the Regency period of England.  I'm not sure how many minutes in we were when we were introduced to "The Duke" the character played by breakout star Rege'-Jean Page.  And now how can we live without him.  We are going to have to.

Last week the actor announced he would not be returning for season 2. This was no surprise to him as he was only approached to be in Season 1.  "I get to come in and contribute my bit and then the Bridgerton family rolls on".  To hear from Page himself on the matter just go right here
