Is President Biden Trying To Circumvent The Constitution?

There are two issues that come up in every election that I think people always over react to.  The first is the overturning of "Roe v. Wade" (ie legal abortion).  Go back and look historically at how many times a Supreme Court has completely overturned a decision made by another Supreme Court.  I would wait, but I've got a life to finish living.

The second is when you hear, "Don't vote for ______ he's coming for your guns."  The right to bear arms is guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America.  The exact wording is:  “A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”  To change this amendment requires 2/3 majority vote from both The House of Representatives and The United States Senate.  Now, I would like for you to look back historically at a hot-button issue our country has faced and tell me how many times both houses have had a 2/3 majority vote-in agreement.  Again, I would wait, but I've got a life to finish living.

On top of that, the two biggest, gangster organizations left in America are The Major League Baseball Players Union and The National Rifle Association.  The NRA has their tentacles entrenched in BOTH parties (they're not stupid) and their sole mission in life is to protect The Second Amendment.  All that being said (I know, enough of the Civics lesson, already), President Biden appears to be trying to circumvent the checks and balances system of our government and rule by decree-which is the whole reason we fought The Revolutionary War, right?

Yesterday, saying "No Amendment is absolute," he rolled out a series of "Executive Orders" on Gun Control.  First,  he asked Justice Department, within a month, propose a rule to stop "ghost guns," which are "kits" people can buy legally then fully assemble to create a functioning firearm that does not have a serial number.  Second, The President also asked the DOJ within 60 days to propose a rule on braces used for handguns, which make them more accurate; proposing action on "community violence intervention."  And finally,  he asked the DOJ to publish suggestions for "red flag" legislation.  "Red Flag" legislation are laws that permit police or family members to petition a state court to order the temporary removal of firearms from a person who may present a danger to others or themselves.

Now, while NONE of these, technically, violates The Second Amendment, the fact that a sitting President would "dip his toes in water" when it comes to finding a work around to our most precious document of citizens' rights is frightening at best.  Whether or not one agrees with what he's done in these Executive Orders is irrelevant.  One day you might not agree with one.  The Constitution is absolute and if one wishes to change it, there are specific methods to do so.  If you cannot garner the support to change it, then it must remain intact.  That is the way our Republic was established.  Otherwise, we're subject to whims of a monarch-which again, is the reason our founding fathers fought for our independence in the first place.
