This one was minor but comes with some good advice.
On Friday I had to go to my Dermatologist for a procedure. It started several months ago when I noticed what I thought was a cut on my chest. It didn’t seem to want to heal. So after it became a nuisance for a month or so I decided it was time to get it looked at by a professional. Glad I did!
It turned out to be a basil cell carcinoma. These are usually slow-growing and can be taken care of with the area of skin being removed. It is important to get it removed though!
My doctor asked if I tanned a lot when I was younger. I told her, I actually owned a tanning bed. I think she showed good restraint by not slapping me. This is probably a result of that machine. Of course, we now keep a lookout for any more that may appear. GOOD ADVICE: Protect your skin
